I start with 14 MBs of RAM free (according to PalmOS Delete screen). I then play either ZQuake or ZDoomZ and when I quit end up with 7 megs free. Playing again will work and I will have 500 kbs free. Playing again will result in errors and it won't work. It looks like the memory isn't freed when you quit. By the way, I quit from the main menu of the game.
Edit: I forgot to add that resetting will restore the RAM and make the game playable again.

that is just memory not ram. You are using udmh right? then try force setting udmh to a certain value for Zdoom Z and post if you are still losing memory. Ity worked for me on my TungstenlE (no more resets or crashes) but I'm only using LJP not any of the other programs so it might not work.

I have to use UDMH or it won't run. What memory should I make UDMH use? 6 MB?
Edit: it says on UDMH's site that if a program doesn't clear it's ram after use, soft reset to get the memory back. THis sounds like it's not a bug in UDMH but in ZDoomZ that needs fixing. (hint hint yoyofr)
Mabye the game could incorporate the functionaliy of UDMH so we don't need it.

Fixed!
In UDMH, set a custom setting for ZDoomZ (or any other app). Then turn on Cleanup For this App and leave the memory allocation at maximum. No more memory leak! w00t!

if you want that on your T|E is all right..... it installs lightspeed and overclock the processor to 180Mhz (it quietly goes)

Doom runs fine on the T|E even without overclocking.

But Quake doesn't, mabye that's an idea.
Isn't going from 126 to 180 MHZ a bit far to overclock?

No, it can even go up to 192 and runs fine in most cases...
BTW the CPU in the T|E was MADE to run at 175 but PalmOne underclocked to save battery.
