Greetings to you all! I just want to say that I am extremely glad for those that go the extra mile to create ports like this to "us" tech-fiends. I am happy with what I have seen and definately look forward to future versions (as well as that Duke3D port!). But, with the praise out of the way , I must discuss a problem which I have tried to test out every way I can. Version 1-2 definately does not work for my Cingular Treo 650 and only soft resets when launched (I installed it according to the instructions given in the "dummies guide"). I have also noticed that the timidity installer soft resets as well (The current version). Upon further examination I loaded in version 1.0 of ZDoomZ and it actually worked! Something tells me the problem stems from the recent memory allocation changes, but I have no clue-- a shot in the dark on my end. I have also tested out ZQuake (current Version) on my Treo 650 and it seems to be working fine. I am glad I was able to get these programs to work, even if ZDoomZ is running from an earlier version. I just thought I would chime in and let everyone know about the conflict on the Treo 650 end. I would also like to send another request for the possibility of using the Treo's keyboard down the line in future versions. Anyways, keep up the awesome work!!!

Brother Cthulhu,
Care to elaborate on the ZdoomZ setup that works on the Treo 650?
1). Did you install both the .prc & .zdk from v1.0? 2). How did you get around timidity's reset? Did you not install it? 3). If you did, which sample\patches set did you use if it matters?
Thanks
-Y

I used the 1.0 setup for ZDoomZ without timidity. For some reason, timidity reboots my Treo when I try to get it installed through the installer provided. I would venture to guess that there must be some sort of conflict with it-- from what I understand, version 1.2 requires you to have timidity installed. I believe that could be the problem, or it could just be the memory allocation change in the most recent update.

You don't need timidity for any of the versions -- you'll simply not get music by not installing it.
