Great port! I just went out and bought the "Ultimate Doom Trilogy" so I could play it on the Zod and everything works great! Only two issues:
the graphics for the outside world (mountains, etc. seen through windows) are mis-registering. The bottom of the graphic is actually two-thirds up the screen from the bottom, resulting in a tiling error that puts the base of the mountains in the sky. The image wraps from to to bottom, so I see the mountains a bit lower, then the sky above them, then the line between the top and bottom of the image, then the base of the mountains.
When launching, I get two error messages saying it cannot allocate enough memory (9 and 8 mb, respectively) - telling me on both occasions that I only have 7.7 mb free. Why is this? I have over 13 mb free on my machine, not counting the vram.
Otherwise, great game! Thanks!!

I get the same problem with the mountain tiles being halfway up on my T3. Could it be an issue with resolution? But luckily it doesn't really affect gameplay that much.

It's not really a bug, it's because of the resolution. The game was made to run at 320x200 and it's running at 320x320 or 480x320 (so 120 pixels more height; hence 60 pixels more sky above and below the original picture).
I believe some code can be added to stretch the sky pic if it bothers too much.

It's not really irritating, but some of the levels with complex layouts/graphics do get rather confusing at times -- especially outdoor levels.
