Could someone who got zdoomz up and running on a non zodiac give a howto for a noob? (me) I installed everything to where it said to put it, including timidity It loads the launcher, and shows wads (what's the diff between an iwad and a pwad?) It says that the emulation module isn't present: zdoomz.zdk (even though I copied it to palm/programs/zdoomz folder Do I have the wrong version? Something in a wrong folder? I am using a Treo650 with updated NVRS. Thanks in advance.

You put it in an SD card? I don't know if the 650 has internal storage, but if you have a card try putting in bith. I can't see why it wouldn't run since you did put it in the right place.

yes all of it was in the SD Card. I guess I thought that I had downloaded a zodiac only version, because even though the zdoomz.zdk file is there, I can't see it even with a file manager. If I put the SD card back inmy computer, I can read it just fine...odd

Strange, I'd suggest you to backup the contents of your card and reformat it (in your palm).

I have to agree with both of you. I didn't reformat, but deleting the directory and recopying everything fixed it so it will at least load to the title screen. I have 15 MB free, and it STILL says I am low on mem. If the error messages would scroll instead of doing like they do in the PC version (they are doing what they should do, so no one's fault), I'd prolly be better able to tell what was going on. It says that the wad has no valid tag, but everyone from Drumaster has done that. Then again, those are the only wads I have atm, so who knows. At the title screen the graphics look like 3 screens overlaid on top of one another, so it's not really playable at all anyway. Music crashes too. I read that the 1.2 version was getting better, but admittedly the Treo 650 is only a year old, so it may just have too many new quirks to make it completely "compatible" with the rest of the PalmOS world. I should prolly wait a while, maybe by then it will have real keyboard support too I may float a few bucks to yoyo just the same, even though I prolly won't mess with this for a while. If something else comes up, we will see. This is the only OS5 machine I have atm I will keep trying, and play with ljp for a while

Well whaddya know. UDMH has had a serious update, and while it's not perfect, it loaded, with only a few errors. I get a mysterious missing instrument almost EVERY time, and can never "run" no matter what key I assign it to, but at least I am making progress (no, of course I didn't give up, rofl)
