demo bug

when i start doom1 2 tnt or plutonia i get an error saying:

demo is from a different game version
game 110/109
this is really anoying as it freezes the game for a second once every 20 seconds

This is only on the menu. Once you've started your game it's fine.

That message could be disabled I guess, as it's kinda useless and brings more trouble than it's worth.

I added this as debug feature and forgot to delete it from released version
the issue is sometimes, demo from different version can cause crashes, perhaps some time
should be spent to check where's the issue and have all demo working...
or maybe demo aren't so usefull at all and so if version isn't good the no demo
the main troubles you can encounter when having different versions is the demo file referencing
missing entries in the wad files (gfx, sound, ....), so it should not cause crash, only some gfx artifacts.

btw, metaview, I still need to try your netplay addon in zdoomz. I was planning to do it asap, in order to add netplay to ljp. But perhaps you're interested to do it by yourself ?

I removed the wait time for "demo different to game version" output. Get it from www.metaviewsoft.de The site is still under heavy construction, but the Z-Games (picked up from yoyofr) are all there. Duke3D is there too, but you need a good light source :-)

yoyofr: Hm, I could have a look, but not in the next 2 weeks. I will come back to you when I have some time and had a look into the LJP source. I would need a pointer to a working ROM file, which uses netplay.
