doom TC mods and zdoomz

i just stumbled on tc(total conversion) mods for doom. i must say they look gr8. i dunno if anyone has this problem but with Drumaster's version of half life and goldeneye for doom (which you can find over at tapland) it resets peoples palms with zdoomz. people with zodiacs who use a different port of doom dont seem to have this problem however lots of people with zdoomz cant get these mods to work. for me with goldeneye after i select difficulty level in the loading screen it resets my palm and in half life when i go through the door that leads to the room right where the explosion happens as soon as i press on the door it resets my palm. these are really illin' peices of work and i really wanna git them runnin' on my LD. please let me know if anyone has had success.

edit: no it doesnt work. just go to games then addons then doom and u'll see the halflife pwad.

I've just picked up a PC version of Doom (Doom3D) and tried both:

golden eye did work, don't work on my Zod, because of too much error msgs, might work, if I shut the msgs down.

half life: crashed the PC version too, on my Zod (and the T3) I'm able to run around, but the NPC doesn't do anything.

There are 2 Half-life mods on the GP32 site. One is a 'standalone', the other a pwad that requires te Doom2 wad. The 'standalone' has too many error messages and crashes my Zire72. The pwad seems to work fine. I ran around quickly on the first level and couldn't find this explosion you were talking about, but try setting Detail to Low in the configuration menu. That solved a lot of problems in Duke3D for me when it came to explosions and such.

Goldeneye loads, but then freezes when I choose my difficulty level. Same as you.

He means the PC version of Doom crashed with the HL mod.

oh. kk. so is there a way to abide tha crashing? cuz i really want HL on my palm and if this doesn't work my only option would be to wait until i can put a linux HL port on garux on my LD and i dont think that'll b soon

if the mod crashes a Windows port, the problem lies somewhere else, maybe it's broken from the beginning.

Okay, I found that door in HalfLife you were talking about veggie. Its in the 'Test Laboratory". I've tried several times to open it and it crashes and hard-reses my Palm everytime. I'm pulling HalfLife off my SD card until I hear its been solved.

If your bent on finding a solution, I'd go into the Emuboards DoomWads thread and see if you could raise Drumaster to take a look at it. Or to his site and ask him. After all he's the wad god and from reading the threads, he's very accomodating (as are so many of the developers around here).
