Hello all,
Trying to get zhexen (and maybe zquake) going on my treo 600. Got all the software and files in the right place but when I launch zhexen it shows the wad list without a name. just a blue line and when I choose to launch something appears in the lower right of the screen that looks like a text window but its too far down to read. click it and you get back to the launcher.
Any advise / help is appriciated.
thanks

I've tried to add something in Doom to get it work in 160x160. Want to try it? Test version 1.4 from www.metaviewsoft.de

Thanks, I will give it a shot. Does the Hexen and Quake on this site do the same? Will have to dig out my old doom floppies. ;*)

crud... The Doom version does the same thing.. Getting very irritated with the Treo 600... nothing fun really works on it.

sdrc: you may write me an email and we could try together to get ZDoomZ to work on a Treo 600.

oh and metaview if I can do something to help, or u tell me what u use and what to edit to downsize hexen, i'll help
this is theo nly game I get to work. perhaps doom/duke/quake take more memory than hexen? the only thing on my treo was pdf which I removed and now hexen works.. and then there's the startups for the other games (measures in bytes), and the biggest thing is just java... if I have to take java off to make these work its cool, b/c that does take up a bit of space im the mb..
i do run udmh or whatnot and put it at 63353 the max it will allow.
the problem I have with hexen though is I dont pick portrait or fullscreen, and when I play hexen it still is bigger than the treo screen. it like shows ok, but u cant see the bar at the bottom (unimportant), and it extends to the bottom right. like when u move foreward, ur going to the left some, b/c the center of the screen is more to the right off screen, and when u shoot ur shooting at the bottom right off screen a bit....

It's almost the same for all the games: it just needs someone with a Treo 600, Code Warrior (as it is written with this IDE), some good C knowledge and he must have a strong will to bring it on its Treo 600. It isn't that hard, but there are several places where you have to adjust things. It's too much for me to do it, as I have different things to do and no Treo 600. And remote testing is much too slow. I refuse to do it. So without a Treo 600 I'm not going to touch the code for it.
Regards Henk

Some guy called jbp did the low-res support for LJP. Maybe we should try contacting him?

It would be great for all Treo600 owners, I'm one of them but I prefer to use my T5 for these games... I could be a tester of this port...
