whoa!!! It would be great if you can run Quake 2 in your pda!!!... It isn't impossible... but will demand a lot of effort to acomplish.. I think I must wait for a palmOne Tungsten T|10 to run it... hehehehe ;D

Seriously... I think the game must be redesigned... i.e. somebody must edit the levels to made them the most lightly possible so the pda can handle them... Like they do it when launching the ps one version... and remember: the ps one have only 2MB of video ram and a 33Mhz processor... while any palmOne (OS5) have at last 5Mb of memory and a 144Mhz processor!!!
Maybe, rather than use the pc version will be best to use the ps one version quake2's files

The big problem of PalmOS is that it wasn't made for games, and in some cases the OS annoys us (ie: the key mask issue for LJP).
The PSone, in the other hand, is and always was a game console from the ground up.

I'm having a hard time getting ZDoomZ to compile (I'm using it as a basis) because the linker can't seem to link some MSL files (that's some of the stuff yoyo put together to ease porting). The bigger problem is, I don't even know where to turn off those libraries to see if it even works without them
