I am having MAJOR problems finding the shareware quake, I have even resorted to warez, still no luck. Will someone please link me to the shareware?#nosmileys

they dont have the pak files

They do, you need to install the demo to somewhere on your HD then the PAKs will show there.

Sorry, you'll need to use VPC.
Hang on, try downloading Doom Legacy and look inside that with show package contents, it is bundled with shareware doom.

Here's a useful site on how to extract your pak0.pak from the quake106.zip file.... www.linuxdocs.org/HOWTOs/Quake-HOWTO-2.htmlI had the exact same problem, turns out you just need to "lha e quake106.zip" and you get your pak0.pak file. Nifty : ) (Oh, I am assuming you run Linux cause I saw Tux....)
