Okay, I'll ask here 1 more time (I didn't really get an answer before). I can not get zQuake to display in 320x320 for regular Palm users. The video options in the in-game menu only include 240x160, 320x240, and 480x320. Is it possible to get it "fill" to 320x320 like zDoom, zHexen, and Duke3D. If its not possible I'll consider the subject closed.
Thanks again.

No it doesn't. The original Quake was designed for x86 CPUs and so had specific optimizations that enabled it to run at normal speed on lower-end systems. These optimizations CAN NOT be ported to the Palm OS world, they would have to be rewritten.
You can overclock though, with PXAClocker or Lightspeed. That will give you a big boost in speed.

Yeah, overclocking will help for any app.

IR on zquake, zhexen and zdoomz? Are you referring to multiplayer through InfraRed? I also am curious about this Perhaps the IR technology is too slow for these games...

That would definitely be interesting. At most, 2 people huddled together with their Palms on a flat surface duking it out while trying to make sure the beam isn't broken by accidentally moving the handheld, lol... Anyways, what I wanna see is a device come out with an ultra-powerful and omnidirectional IR beam! Safety from electromagnetical radiation be d**ned, I want my old school multiplayer Quake DM sessions where people from all over the world could join in on the handheld glory, as the process of global warming is unnoticeably accelerated as the world is blanketed in IR beams! UAWAAHAAHHAAHAAHA!!!

These optimizations CAN NOT be ported to the Palm OS world, they would have to be rewritten. How difficult would it be to rewrite these optimizations?

A lot. And that takes someone with VERY GOOD knowledge of ARM assembly to produce faster code than the compiler.
