Memory leak definitely seems fixed. Stylus control works nice. But I can't seem to find stretch mode. I've tried Portrait and Fullscreen, and both give 320x240 resolution. Is there something else that I'm missing to get 320x320 resolution??
**Edit** Okay I should really take a better look before asking questions. Found the "screen-stretching"; in-game under Options/Video, there is an option for 320x320. Thanks Metaview, this is great!!!

Ok, the IR keyboard and the BT gamepad are broken in the current download but I've fixed it already. I will add some stuff to configure the BT gamepad and update the download on my website tonight.

Just something to share with other users. I found the screen a little too dark even with brightness set to brightest setting. I changed my .cfg file to .txt and and noticed gamma was set (at brightest) at 0.50000.
I manually adjusted this to 0.40000 (0.30000 was a little to pale) and it looks much better. However, if you mess with brightness in the in-game options you'll have to do it all over again. It will set the brightest setting to 0.50000.
PS. Don't forget too change your .txt file back to .cfg.
Hope this advice helps somebody.

Kayge, thank you for that. The latest update on my site can now adjust the brightness (gamma) down to 0.40000 Also it has the promised BT gamepad config option. And the gamepad and the IR keyboard work.

Error at opening here too. Gzip did the job, but I get fatal error when launching.
update: compiled files are also available in the source zip. (and they work) update2: but those are not up to date as I believe

When i try to launch zquake in left hand mode i have a black skin with : "missing file autoexec.cfg" and a black screen occure. The game run (i can hear the game sound), but that's all. the screen stay black.
I had to reset and now the tx is very looong to reboot.
I tried to rename the "config.cfg" file in "autoexec.cfg" file, i have a message : "find file /PALM/ZQUAKE/..." and still black screen.
Having both IR & BT activated (looks nuts but easyer to active them both and use the one i want to use when i play looks more easy than configuring each key each time) makes my tx reset.
With IR keyboard the game is very playable and smooth.

Enabling keyboard or gamepad does probably slow down the game a bit. You don't have to reconfigure, just press "cancel" which should be called "Stop" and the old settings are still valid. You might also stop the config in the middle, the remaining functions stay configured.
And I tried it again: I could download and open the files with WinZip without a problem. Maybe it does cache them? I need to test it again in the evening.
About the left hand: will test it later too.
Regards Henk

FireFox and IE downloads give errors when unzipping. But I tried something different this time, and it worked. Using FlashGet, a Duplicated URL message box pops up, as it recognizes that I've downloaded this url before. Instead of choosing Download Again, I clicked on Check For Update and I received the latest upload!

Yah, that's what I was thinking too. Discovered something else: right-click > Save Link As... , as opposed to simply left-clicking on the link, will also bring the latest version!

i'm trying on another pc right now, didnt download it here before, same error: [/tmp/zquake.zip] End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive.

I'm not sure what everybody's talking about. Is there some difficulty in downoading and unzipping the zquake directory from Metaview's site??? I just downloaded and unzipped no problem, 2 minutes ago. The same as every other version before this.
Must be something on your end and not Metaview's if there is a problem.
(I hope I understood the problem correctly.)
And I'm using FireFox.

Must have been something with my browsers cache cause when I download it with IE it worked and with FF it didn't (after emtying browsers cache and tempfiles). Anyway the files are in!
