hello, yoyofr. I need just a quick reference on installing the Snes9xTyL on my PSP.... I keep getting an error after installation that says "The game could not be started. Error 8000.... somthing" i forget the rest..... Anyway, it seems like i got it installed, however it is not running.... the emulator is on the PSP, and the launch screen is there, but when i press start, i get the above message. Is there any link that gives info on how to use this? or could you just write a quick sentence in reply? I would really appreciate it!! Thanks bigbillhag  |

what is your firmware? if you were unfortunate enough to have thought that it was a good idea to upgrade to 1.51+ (or were unfortunate enough to buy a PSP that had 1.51+), then you are SOL. there isnt any way to get homebrew to run on those versions.

yes, i got uo_snes to work..... but not nesterj either... wouldn't see a rom....

to install snes9xTYL on 1.5 psp is really simple : download & unzip the archive, you should have a 2 folders, one for each psp version (1.0 & 1.5).
copy the 2 directories from the 1.5 folder to your psp under /PSP/GAME directory.
you should have something like "/PSP/GAME/Snes9xTYL" & "/PSP/GAME/Snes9xTYL%"
if it still doesn't work, then you did something wrong or your card is ko...

I got the emulator 2 work but I'm having problems getting roms 2 play on there. Where can i get roms that work for sure and should the files be unziped?

Don't ask for roms -- OR where to get them. It's part of the rules. As a matter of fact, a BIG part of the rules.
As far as whether or not they can be zipped, yes, they can.
What sort of problem are you having with them playing? Mine play perfectly fine in zips or unzipped. Just hit the Circle button to open the ROM and it should start fine.

one file is okay, the one with the thumbnail, the other says corrupted file.... (sigh) i cant do it.

Well....this kinda relates to this topic and I'm kinda new to the PSP so I just downloaded the snes9xTYL and everytime I try and copy it to my PSP file then copy it under games and the emulator does not even show up on my psp??  |

Do you have a 1.50 or 1.00? If you have one of those, are you putting it into the "game" folder on the memory stick?

Yes....I have 1.50. When I connect my USB cable then I copy the file to, Games under the PSP folder
