Unfortunately, no one knows when/where/if Firmware 1.51/1.52/2.0 will be cracked. From what little I understand on the topic, most people working on this problem have shifted work to 2.0 and away from the 1.5x versions. I don't know this for a fact, however, as I personally don't work on any of these projects.
One would think 1.5x would be easier because Sony had less time to work on Security than they did on 2.0, however, 2.0 includes a LOT more features that may present new backdoors to hacking.... Just idle speculation.
On a side note, (and I'll preface this with the fact that I'm NOT a moderator here under any stretch of the term and don't mean to be acting like one, but) I wouldn't think that the SNES TYL forum would be a good place to ask about these things. You might try a different site. There are many out there that specialize in hacking news.
