I was wondering if you can patch the English version of Final Fantasy III or only the Japanese version with the superior translation? A homebrew, RPGone team, did a superior job translating it and I really wanted to play it with the speed hack activated, but will put up with the original american release if that is not possible.

Don't worry about it, the differrences arn't anything meaningful. The retranslations have basicly removed the locilization and used direct interpertations of the words rather than the meaning.

Yeah, I tried playing the translated version, and its gawd awful dry, IMO. There's nothing wrong with the original translation. Don't bother.
