Hey All, Well, it has happened to me twice. While playing a game on TYL (FM Gun Hazard to be precise), I had the PSP warn me that "the PSP will switch off in 10 seconds" (or something alike) with a weird big interlaced font on a red background.
I tried to go back to the menu to save my game (either to sram or to a savestate), but TYL had crashed and my PSP automatically switched off about 40 seconds later.
I don't think this is the intended behavior and thought to myself that it would be nice to have such a warning when the battery is at 20% or something so that we have some time either to save or to hook the power adapter.
Btw, my battery was indeed completely dried so at least TYL detected that correctly.
Once again, fantastic emulator, kudos to you guys! Later,
Alcahest
ps: maybe the nagging screen could be disabled with a code that users would get by sending a postcard to you, or something? ^^

Well it work as intended !!! It avoided you to make the stupid mistake of trying to save while the battery is stuck ! You tried hum When the battery is low, we DISABLE memory stick access. Result ? You can't mess up your memory stick. Please read the online documentation on the web site. The problem with the PSP is that when the battery is very low, the PSP has tendancy to crash violently. Also, starting to write to the memory stick uses a lot of power. So that's why we disabled writing also : you would think that you have enough time to save... But no ! ;D Actually i think this message occurs when the battery is like 15%. For the nagging screen, sorry. This a freeware, we dont want to have "user would have paid/given" and the "one who gives nothing" :-) But we are really sensitive about the message. There is people SELLING the emus on Ebay/Yahoo Auction. So it is important for us to show that this software should be free. Now well, may be in the next version we will change a bit how it works. See you.

Thanks for your answer Laxer. Ok so if the purpose was to avoid corrupting the contents of the MS, it worked perfectly.
I did try to access the emu gui to save but it was locked.
I don't know what was the exact percentage of battery life that remained, but without the AC adapter connected my PSP was refusing to power on, meaning the battery was completely dried out.
Maybe a warning message at 30% to save/recharge/connect AC adapter would be handy then.
About the nagging message, i totally understand your position. See you!

when you get the message save game disabeled You can still save with the in game save feature (not save state) or I did with ff3/6 and .2b might have been corrected in .2c but will it mess anything up?? I didn't notice anything
