Are there any plans to add a cheat system (using Game Genie or Action Replay codes) to snes9xtyl?
Is there a way to use Game Genie codes without having a cheat system built into the emulator?

Lemme guess, I'm a moron for asking. Can anyone point me to some sites that describe how to add trainer programs to SNES rom files? Or at least tell me why noone is responding

The game genie hardware doesn't modify memory, just the ROM image from the cart. This program takes those modifications and applies them to the image. There is no difference.
Action Replay modifies memory IIRC, it can't be prepatched.

I just tried out Game Genie Thing, and it works beautifully. Just put in a Game Genie code, hit "decode" to get a hex address and value, then fire up a hex editor and load the corresponding ROM, go to the specified address, and enter the value (replace existing one).
I tried it out with Super Castlevania IV and Cybernator (not the sound test version, which appears to have different coding). Gonna try it on Castlevania: Dracula X next.
Thank you craig588
