Hey Jeremy, I 'm asking you this question because I know you have a Zire 72 like me. Do you have the older version with the blue paint? That's what I have and I heard rumors that the paint "peels" off after a few weeks of owning it. I have had mine for about 3 weeks now, and the paint has not peeled. Is it true that it peels off that ealily? I hope not, I like the look of it...
Sorry Yoyofr for straying off topic...feel free to delete this if it's not appropriate on your board...thanx

There have been reports all over the world of blue Zire 72's paint getting off. I think that's why they created the silver version. Also, if you wanted to talk directly to Jeremy, you should use the PM (Private Messaging) function, or at least ask at the off-topic forum so as not to fill the LJP forum with non-LJP related questions. After all, the off-topic area is meant for stuff that has nothing to do with the other forums (if I were a mod I'd move this topic, too bad I'm not ;D).

Yeah I have the blue one. I like the look of it too. It doesn't seem to peel off too easy to me. I have the palm hard case so the blue stuff has only come off where you grab for the stylus and down by the USB/ power connection. From what I understand if you have a good case it will last a lot longer.

I use my T|E heavily for gaming (so I grab it using both hands) for 6 months without a case, and the painting of the unit itself is perfect (only the buttons are a little weird ).
