Is it just me or is it impossible to do the blitzes with diagonal directions in them? I don't know if the cause is the emulator being unable to do it or if I just suck at it.

if you havent played FF6 before I understand your prolem. you have a period before you do the blitz where the arrow is on your character. thats when you do the arrows. THEN you click O/A and just sit back and watch. what i used to do and what i think your doing is trying to squeeze the blitz in while hes like flashing.

i remember for the ff3 snes, doing diagonals sequences such as down ,down-right, right was the same as pressing down, down, right, and another right on the controller.
give that a try and lemme know if it works.

your method doesn't work but i have found that doing it with 2 fingers does the trick. I think it would be easier if the d-pad wasnt so small.

Sabin blitzes(the easy way)
aura bolt : down,down,left + A
firedance : left,left,down,down,right + A
