i downloaded and got the program snes9x TYL to run, but it shows there are no games. i got the game and i used the .7z program and unzipped them and took all those roms and put them in the rom folder in the snes folder. still nothing. what am i doing wrong?

Are they named .smc?

Try re-zipping them so you can save some space. Also, try putting them where the snes Eboots are located

You don't need the files located anywhere specific. You can just browse to the directory they are in. I have mine located in GAME/SNES/ROMS and my emu is in GAME/SNES% or whatever the default is.
I would have to go with Craig588 on this - most likely when you unzipped the ROMs, they did not have any extensions on them. Make sure they have .smc extensions.

yes, for instance before they are zipped. lets take ninja turtles. the file is called " Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time.7z" and after they are zipped i get 11 files likes "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (E).smc" Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time (J).smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time (J) [b1].smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (A) [!].smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (Beta) [h1+C].smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (Beta) .smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (Beta) [T+Ger1.0_alemanic].smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (Beta).smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (U) [!].smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (U) [h1C].smc, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (U) [T+Ger1.0_alemanic].smc that are all the files that came out when i zipped then. then i put all of them in i:/psp/games/snes/rom i made the folder rom

In Snes9xTYL, you are browsing to the correct folder on your memory card? I know this sounds silly, but it does not find the ROMs by default.

Also, they can't all be in one zip file, they have to be in their own separate zip files,
(example: Chrono Trigger(E).zip, Final Fantasy II.zip, etc...)
