Are you thinking Star Fox? I' ve never heard of starwing. The original cartridge game had an extra chip in it for calculations and whatnot. So far, games that use this extra chip are almost unplayable.

Starwing was the european name for StarFox. Just as Lylat Wars was the european name for StarFox 64

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. Then the extra gfx chip is what causes the slowdown. There really isn't any successful emulation of the gfx chip, except on the PC platform.

If you knew the processes that the extra chip went through, would it be possible for it to be emulated and set to an extra option?
was always a big fan of stuntrace FX and star fox. just love that first level music and the incredible voice acting in the game.
Good Luck!

Well, the chip has to be emulated for the game to run, and since TYL takes up most of the RAM (I think, correct me if I'm wrong), so its harder to get going without some major code re-writing.

Craig claims to be able to shrink the memory used by tyl a whole lot, so Im thinking maybe the devs will be wanting some of his feedback. If Craigs claims are correct, then TYL may be able to someday run StarFox, or any other game that uses super FX.

oh my god, so much wrong stuff ....
superfx is already emulated, that's why starfox can be run, even if it's slow as hell since psp isn't powerfull enough. moreover it has nothing to do with memory, more ram won't help here. what we need is a more powerfull cpu. regarding craig, I don't think he can shrink memory usage...without dropping the compatibility! he probably wants to reduce the maximum rom size and some other stuff, but it won't help to get more speed and it will reduce compatibility... so .......

Ok, Star Fox 2 used to run on one of the emulaters but now it doesn't and I can't figure out which one it did run on and why does it not work on the newer emulators now?
