I cannot get v3 to load any of my sram files. I have version 1.5. Anyone know why?

KennyK, I am having the same exact problem as you. I've been trying to play around with it all day to figure out. First, I reinstalled the program to a new directory with virgin settings on my PSP. Still not working. Then, I formatted my memory stick and reinstalled the program again. That didn't work. Lastly , I attempted to try to change various emulator settings, nothing seemed to affect whether my sram's were being loaded. I look into the SAVES folder, and it seems like it has written an .srm file, but, it does not load it. I thought even maybe it was because my roms were in a .zip file, but that doesn't seem to matter. Sometimes it seems the sram file will be there when you play another game, and come back to the original game, but, I wonder if its not because the SRAM is somehow still in memory?? Anyone with a 1.5 have success having the SRAM load ok when you exit the program, and return? Save States work ok for me, and is my current workaround, but, it'd be nice to get the sram to work properly. Lastly, the game Out of this World still doesn't work on this emulator. I really appreciate everyone's efforts on this. My favorite emulator on the PSP by far now Hope .srm gets fixed soon!

I'm having similar issues.. though with 2.0 under eboot loader 0.9 it seems that I can get it to save to sram files just fine and dandy, but it won't read any, at all. I've tried messing with the directory structure, the logo file (as has been mentioned by some as a fix to the save state issue but doesn't appear to be so here..) basically anything to try and get those srm files to read, but they save fine, in the same folders, over writting the old ones, and I test the newly created ones on my PC and it loads up where I saved it on my psp under 0.3 ... but 0.3 won't read it at all heh. Ah well, in the mean time, guess I'll stick with 0.2c In fact, it seems that just loading the rom with 0.3 overwrites matching srm's ... which I just learned to my displeasure... but it won't read anything. 0.2c reads the new saves I made fine and makes new ones fine... sigh. Ah well, hopefully someone else has this trouble and it's not just me XD

regarding the sram bug, I just noticed I commented the part which load the sram file. so in 0.3 & 0.3me sram file are saved but never loaded. it's fixed in my dev version. I've add the possibility to import sram files & state files using "import savestate" in menu. (I'll have to rename it to import save files since it's state + sram now)

Music in every game I've tried sounds extremely poor. The music in Final Fantasy 4 (J) sounds so bad it sounds like the GBA version in many places. Also experiencing other random sound glitches. Also noted was some bad graphical glitches such as in MegaMan X2 where there was a sort of white bar next to my life on the pause menu. I would post photos but I really don't want to put .3 back on my PSP. Running on 1.5 in the ME version.

Heyya death try chaning the sound Frequency. I have found that some games need 22k and some ned 44k and some work well with 32k. it is odd, and it all depends on the game. (this is not a complete fix, but it helps some.)

I tried all frequencies, still sounded horrible. Though what I found odd was a lot of games when they're not on 44 just go extremely slow, FF4 (J) especially.

hmm, that is odd. Final Fantasy 4 for me seems to be alright, but haven't spent much time on it. I know that almost all the square stuff runs killer now. YoYo did say earlier that there were sound issue that cannot easily be fixed, I guess this is one of them.

FF4 runs awesome on .2c. Though here's a specific fix I want for X2... it runs extremely slow no matter what in the intro boss battle and when you fight Overdrive Ostrich. I'd really like those at full speed because it's really annoying.

To start off, amazing work! This is my favorite piece of homebrew. I had something interesting happen that has not been mentioned yet in this thread. I was playing for about 30 min, exited and switched to Neocdpsp. I then turned the PSP off. When I turned it back on, I tried to run snes TYL and received the error message "Game could not be started. (80010002)". I then opened the s9xTYLme folder, and it was empty! The entire contents of this folder were deleted.
I am using: PSP 1.5 SNES9xTYL .03me NeoCDpsp 7.2 I renamed the folders for all homebrew to remove corrupted icons. Unless anyone else has this issue, please regard this as an isolated incident. Thanks, reinstalling SNES9xTYL now...

I am stating to crash instead of closing. I will hit the home key and when exiting, it will lock up. (Probably has do to with ME) Not a big deal, just have to reset the PSP. Worth it to play fast games Just a side note

I just look at my psp in shame and walk away.

hi, this is my first post so first of all: GREAT work! snes9xTYL is my favourite homebrew and i´m spending more time playing snes games then original psp games..keep up your awesome job..
sadly i encountered a really annoying bug, i don´t know if it´s occuring only in 0.3. the first time it occured in earthworm jim 1, the second game was parodius. i played both games with sound enabled until some major slowdowns. i disabled the sound to get more speed and used the save state function. the problem is that there´s no more sound when i load these saved states even when i enable the sound output. i can only reactivate it by using "reset snes". does anyone else had such problems? is there a workaround?
-edit- i´m using the 0.3me version on a 1.5 psp

Hello looptrooper, and welcome to the world of homebrew. Since these applications are not made directly by Sony, dont expect them to be perfect. In fact, expect them to be FAR from perfect. A rom that runs at full speed is fairly uncommon right now. Only simple roms will run properly on this emulator. I suggest you grab Mario World, Final Fight 3, Zelda, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Lufia, Metroid, Super Punch Out, or Bomberman. Those are the only roms Ive discovered to run quickly enough to be playable so far.

hi corona, i don´t expect homebrew software to be perfect because i know these are made without charge and in the spare time of some very talented people. i´m glad that these people exist so don´t get me wrong when i post a problem. it´s not a problem at all, just a glitch that perhaps someone else had before me. it´s okay if there´s no solution, but i had to try. i LOVE this application, i´m not complaining about it, just posted some kind of bug in a bug thread.

Yo Loop, peep this The issue is this.. once a game has had the sound shut off then it cannot reinitialize it til you reset the game with it on. You cannot load state a game with sound off and get the sound back on. This is a known issue and as far as I nderstand it, no way to fix it because of the way the sound is shutoff in game. Chrono Trigger runs at full speed almost and is definitely playable. That is my reccomendation

it's cause the sound cpu in snes is in SYNC with the arm processor
SO this means
once you disable sound.. you CAN'T RE-ENABLE till you reset snes!

ok first of all, since u have 2.0 go here yoyofr92.free.fr/psp/snespsp.html and download the snesTYL 0.3 standard version, but i suggest 0.2c bcuz it is alot faster on 2.0 u also need fanjitas eboot loader 9 which is here www.fanjita.org/ so from here read the forums at fanjits place bcuz im too lazy to give u all the details, haha its pretty easy though.

Hold the on power switch in the up position for about 10/15 seconds and it will reset. No need to pull the battery.
