X3 by far. just for the music...
they all have great music by the way.
do all 3 its cool how they progress
then do 7 also a fun game

id have to say megaman X 1. 2 and 3 are the best, i never really liked 7, it seems a little kiddish.

Disturbed...When I was a Kid I played Megaman so when they made 7 they stuck with the standard formula and brought people back to their roots  X is a more adult series for sure, but I think it lacks the complexity that the original mega man series had. It is not nearly as hard to latfor X series (and the zero series for that matter). But that is an old man's rantings |

Having also played Megaman games all my life, I have to confess my true love for the original format too.
I beat my first Megaman game when I was 4 years old, and since the format never really changed, the games were easy to beat from then on.
After Megaman X series came to be, the format changed, and I was finally challenged by it again.
After that.... meh.
But, if you really want a good Megaman game, I suggest you play the Megaman battle network games for GBA.
The first two games are brilliant, but after that.... meh.
As for the Megaman Zero series..... just meh. They were never terribly fun or challenging.

The zero series is hard if you don:t upgrade, but that is it. If you play it naturally then it is easy as hell. Challenge - Rockman and Bass (OMFG I hate that game) and the new Rockman Rockman (megaman powerup) is freaking tough as hell. But it has taken a side note to lemmings. The GBA games are pretty fun too, but got old fast. Very repetitive. Play mega man 1-6 then 7- then 8 then x1-x8 and you will be totally megaman:d out |
