We are looking for... beta testers !!!

We decided that a happy few will have access to our 0.4 some days before the release.

The number is most likely limited to 5 people max.
Super-user mostly welcome...

IF YOU WANT ONLY TO PLAY BEFORE ANYBODY ELSE, PLEASE DO NOT ASK THE BETA-TEST. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
WE DONT WANT TO ANSWER 1000 USELESS MAILS.

We will most likely put in favor people that helped the most on these forum and are registered since longer time.

I would love to help with testing TYL 0.4 out. I have the complete SNES romset (11,337) so could do some thorough testing for you.

I have firmware 1.5.

Also, currently I'm running the Monkey 64 compatibility thread on PSP Updates.

I would like to offer my services as a beta-tester (1.5 PSP), though it seems there are quite a few people who deserve the slot more than I do (Corona and Tinnus for example).

I don't know whether or not this has any bearing on my chances, but I've been using emulators for nearly a decade on various systems. I have been keeping track of minor graphical glitches in numerous games in version 0.3 ME (Lufia 2, Ys 4, Clock Tower, Dragon Quest I+II) and I'm eager to see if they have been improved upon in the new version.

I could help you, but I only own one 1.5 PSP. I understand C, some ARM arm and some X86 asm, but not at all MIPS asm. I really don't know too much about the hardware of the PSP either. I know a bit about the SNES hardware, I've worked on two ports of SNES9X before, but neither were really noteworthly.

Ive been following TYLs development since the very beginning, and will stay with it to the bitter end (if ever there is such a thing)

Like so many others, I use a 1.5 PSP, but have the free cash to go and buy another PSP (which I plan on upgrading to 2.6)
So I could beta test for two firmware versions.

I have a 1.5 PSP and a 2.5 PSP each with a 2GB M-Stick, i am experienced with testing software as i used to be a beta tester for the xbox as my job , i use this emulator all the time tweaking the settings try to get the best performance i can on every game i play on it, if i was a beta tester for TYL i would put alot of hours into it for sure, but i think my girlfriend would get angry....ahhh what the hell TYL v0.4 is more important lol, j/k so yea i would like to do my bit in helping make the new TYL 0.4 even better if possible.

man, i dont care who gets to test it they are just lucky, im glad others are there to test it, then bugs can be found for the release, good luck makers and testers

Can I please beta test!! I know im new and all but ive been supporting your emulator since the beginning. Since Im only 14 i dont have a credit card but if I did i would be donating u alot of money. Also, Im always lookin foward for your releases because i cant get another psp because of the money so I alawys look foward to your releases. SNES is my favorite console of all time. I had many good times playin it with my brother back in the days.

I have a 1.5 PSP with the Datel 4GB HDD (which loads TYL v.3, but not the Kernal version). I also have a 32MB MS, a 256MB MS, and a 512MB MS

I'd like to beta test. I've always been just a reader of these boards, that's why the account is new. I've got a 1.5 PSP with all sorts of cool home brew stuff working on it.

I'm an accomplished programmer (C++, C#, ASM, Java, etc), so I might be able to aid in ways others can't.

UPDATE :

Yoyo, I and corona started to test a lot of stuff, and we ran into multiple problems :
- Lots of games are slower or FAR slower.(some games got faster but only a FEW)
- Graphics effect with blending have bugs.
- Network isn't stable yet.
- Freeze occurs often.

I would say that :
- the new PSPSDK may be responsible in part. (See NesterJ author comment about it)
- the ME is definitly making problems.

So there is too much issue to send a beta version this weekend to our "happy few".

Still, we will contact you once stability has been improved enough.
