I just got the emulator and it's working great. The only problem is a lot of the Roms are very skippy and the normal frame rate. I haven't noticed anyone else post this so i thought i would in case someone new to the emulators was having this problem. To speed it up (and have the rom run VERY smooth) all you have to do is turn off the sound. Lowering quality helps but no sound makes it perfect, literally. So if you are having problems with the normal frame rate, you can sacrifice sound for perfect game play.

search the forums a bit. sacrificing sound does usually result in pefect emulation. in the new version, sound will be completely emulated on the media engine for 1.5 users and that will cause perfect emulation with sound. in theory that is.
yoyo and laxer have been working very hard to perfect this media engine emulation and are hoping to release the new version soon.

i play with full screen, and a mix mode depending on the game, and frame skip is usually at 1-3, auto just doesnt seem to work as good as it use to. some games like earthworm jim just dont play good at any frame skip so turning the sound off works great. but when im playing public or watching tv i usually turn the sound off anyway so the games run smoother.
