Fanjita released 0.97 of his eloader today, and it supports WiFi in homebrew on all firmwares, including 2.01+. I have tested this with PSPRadio on my 2.5 and it works perfectly.
It does NOT run in kernel mode though, but there was a hack to get wifi access through user mode libraries. As far as i know, this is 100% compatible with how wifi is accessed in homebrew that use it on 1.5 and 1.00.
So to the point, will this enable the use of a wifi in snes9x_tyl on a 2.01+? I realize that 2.01+ cannot use the media engine, but it can now access the wifi chip, so it should work(again, as far as i know) if you provide a 2.01+ binary that does not use the media engine, but DOES use wifi.

Hello,Everyone! Im BLEACH.
I've tried to do it. eLoader 097 works SNES TYL 0.3, but I can't PLAY two players by using Wifi on SNES TYL. Now, We MUST wait for SNES TYL 0.4 with WIFI support.
By the way, I'm Japanese....I Can't Speak English WELL....Sorry.

The current 0.3 does not support network yet. The version 0.4 will. It SHOULD work with eLoader097... Bleach>おしゃるとおりです。0.3版ではWifiがサポートされていませんが、今度の0.4版ではサポートします。 ですので、eLoader097で動くはずですが、保証できません。 英語がんばって下さい

I've read through this forum alot concerning the new version (0.4) and, relating to this new version of eloader (bock, .97) with wifi access, and the fact that the emulator has 2 versions (me and 2.01+), i am asking/hoping that the new version for 2.01+ will have wifi for 2 player. this, I can only assume, has not been included in the aforementioned version yet, and will be updated now? Please? I know you guys are focusing on 1.5 and me, but pleeeeeeeease do include this in ur new version for 2.0+ for us losers who upgraded retardedly. thank you

Dont worry, we will include the feature if they can be run on newer firmware. That has always been our policy, else we would never have release a 0.3 without ME.

Wow! This is the best news in months. All that snes9x TYL now needs is more speed in User mode, so that 60 fps and sound (at a minimum of 22 khz) is achieved - then i will kiss your feet, guys looking foreward to version 0.4 ! keep up the fantastic work, mates !

snes9x_tyl runs FAR faster at 44khz than any other though.
For some odd reason it does. Just set it to that and you will see. 22khz is actually the slowest setting, and 11 and 32khz are also slower than 44khz. By a lot.

...for whatever reason that is...
but thx for the info...
anyway - i might sound a little picky, but i hate frameskip ^^ 30 fps might still provide a smooth scrolling and so on, but since i am an old snes fan (had it the first day it came out), i can feel the difference to 60fps somehow. Good examples are super mario world and contra 3...
I dream of playing mariokart (with sound) via ad -hoc, but this dream is far from reality since i am stuck with firmware 2.6. Even if there was a way to downgrade, i coulnd't do it, because i have to review new psp games... so i have to stick with whatever the eloader can give me
blah blah and off topic anyway*g

Liquid, I'm surprised to see you post here, and even more surprised that you haven't brought up some of your vocal criticism of SNES TYL that you've expressed on GameFAQs. I believe some of the points you made were: -Since SRAM load was broken in 0.3 ME and wasn't fixed with a quick re-release, Yoyo and Laxer must have "broken the code". -Yoyo and Laxer's statement that they've run into bugs and instability were an excuse for them to procrastinate their work, by making the problems they were facing sound more difficult that it actually is. Your reasoning for this were "all coders do this, even I, as a coder, do this myself" or words to that effect. -That Yoyo and Laxer don't know the meaning of open source, they do not release the source code with each release, and you claimed that they don't do so because they don't want others to see that their emulator is actually based on poor coding. The example you gave of a model coder who does the opposite is NesterJ's Ruka. I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but since you made these fairly provocative statements (I would link to the actual post from a few weeks ago, but unfortunately GameFAQs deletes old threads fairly regularly), and is on these boards right now, I thought that it might be better if you continued your little rant and express your opinions about TYL where the coders can see it as opposed to behind their backs.
