What are the possibilities for a module for Palm LJP/LJR and PSP so you can multiplay with a Palm via wifi? Is it really hard to code or is it 'doable'? I read a lot about increasing wifi possibilities on the PSP so I thought it would be really cool if it could be made. Well... I think it could be doable, but I don't know if the palm devices that has wifi capabilities can connect in ad-hoc mode to another wifi device...
There is also another problem... in case you can manage to connect both palm and psp, it doesn't guarantee that you can use any palm os device... you only have the LD and the Tx because they're the only devices that includes wifi... and yes... you can say: "but man... you can buy a wifi sd card!"... yeah... I can buy a wifi sd card, but not all the people that visit this forum have the $$$ to expend in a $99 palm wifi sd card!

Hmm, I think Palm OS can indeed connect in ad-hoc mode. But I'd need someone with a PSP to test it ;D Or at least another Palm device with Wi-fi since the ad-hoc connections should be compatible. Of course for 2 palms it would be better to use BT since it's lighter  But the cross-platform multiplayer thing seems fun. quick edit: I will try to add multiplayer functionality in LJR. If it works, it will be (as with everything else) abstracted. Which means that it could use any kind of connection like Internet, BT, WI-fi, etc. That also means for example the Windows version (yes there will be one) could play with the Palm one via BT |

hehehe... that would be very impressive... count with me for beta testing (Palm <-> Windows>... hahaha... Sorry about the PSP <-> Palm tests... I have only a Treo 600 and a T5... and I don't want to buy a WiFi SD just for this...

i think you should just get 2 psp's :-p then palms are the funnest things to play emu's on....

Well, I have the TX and a lot of other people too, it's a very popular device so I thought, now the hardware should be compatible, why not try and ask  Well Tinnus, it sounds promising from your side, that you at least want to try it when time's ready. |
