Hi there

i am a mod of the German emulation page www.aep-emu.de, the biggest emulation page in Germany and we're not bad in international terms either ...and since we are confronted with a lot of questions about emulation on psp, we have decided to create a FAQ. It hasn't been put online yet, since we are still working on it, but it will be available on our site in a few days

One part of the FAQ is "recommended emulators". Since snes9x TYL is the only good SNES emulator available, i decided to put your emu into the list. Think you don't mind that, but you might be interested in what the text says about it...

the description is as follows (translated from German into English)

Snes9x TYL

This SNES-Emulator comes in two different versions: "ME-Version" and "User-Version". ME-Version will not work with the GTA-Exploit, because the security-loophole of GTA will not give programmers access to the PSP- Kernel and the machines Media Engine-Chip. But ME-Version is much faster than the user version since this Chip is supposed to take over sound emulation.Therefore, many games will run in 60fps plus Sound-Emulation. User version, however, will force you to use the frameskip-function when sound is desired, while disabling the sound will result in almost perfect SNES emulation. Additionally, many hacks will give the opportunity to tune up the emulation. Only Mode 7 and SuperFX-Games are still relatively slow (on both available versions). But since snes9x TYL is still in development (present V 0.3, V0.4 is soon expected), one can still expect a lot of progress

There's something "wrong": telling people they can expect 'a lot of progress' regarding speed, which, ah... is not really true. They could expect SOME improvements, but this thing is optimized to hell already.

Limits exist, afterall.

Anyway, it would be better if you just replaced 'a lot of' with 'some' ;D

Yeah, I would just like to add that if "big" things happen it will be more like the network support improvment.

Yes, please do not give too much hope.
We prefer to release good news and little by little improvment (even if of course we want to make it 2x faster as everybody would like to)
