I was wondering (after reading the discussion on the Progress thread) about how the framerates are on 0.3c (GTA eLoader version).
Specifically, how many fps would I get should I play FFVI with various video/sound options?
I plan on getting a used PSP here in a few days and in the off-chance it comes with 1.5-2.0 I want to know whether to upgrade or not.

Well, I plan on actually PLAYING PSP games as well as emulation (I know, BLASPHEMY!), so upgrading's gonna be pretty much a must here in a few weeks when I start buying games (I'm getting the PSP & MS Thursday, which is why I'm asking now).

I have 60 fps (perfect If you want my opinion!) in most of the snes games (including FFVI). As for the upgrade thingy... Most of the games that require a 2.0+ fw can be played with some tricks (as it was mentioned by manias), don't upgrade if you buy a 1.52 or 2.0 fw psp!

If u are just looking to play the snes games at full speed. (60 fps) you can always turn the sound to off or to emulated sound.. Im using 2.60 and running the emulator fine, also try working with the debug menu. some of the settings can increase performance.

teffy dont upgrade past 1.5, there are all kinds of things you can do to run games on 1.5 especially if you have a decent sized MS. plus you will be able to run the kernel version of the emu which runs better than the GTA fanjita loaded version.

Thanks for the replies, my PSP came with 2.5 so I have to use the GTA eLoader anyway. About to download the software. Again, thanks for the replies.
