Hi,
Is there any good site to see best configurations for games? I can not seem to get the best out of this emulator. E.g. Super Metroid framerate is somewhere in 45fps if I use 44khz sound. I also get graphic glitches, e.g there is a black box when ridley lunges towards the camera in the first boss fight.
Now, I have seen in the forums that people have been running Super Metroid as well as FF3 in 60fps. Could you please send me your configurations.
I am using 0.3 ME version.

super metroid doest not run 60fps with those settings. if you use auto frameskip the framerate actually varies between 10-60fps. You can only say that game runs 60fps when you have framekip none and the game runs with full speed.
So I can assume hardly any game runs with full 60fps when sound is on.
Sound still seems to have a big effect on the fps although I am running the me version. E.g. Street Fighter Alpha 2 can be played 60fps without sound but if sound is on the game gets really slow or choppy if u use frameskip.

I think when they say 60fps they mean the emulated framerate (the top number when you turn on 'show fps'. It's still not bad at all, sound and graphics at full speed and slightly choppy but still playable.
try this setting for sfa2:
sound: on frequency: 44khz gfx engine: psp accel+accu soft frameskip: 2 all other settings default
You just have to find a good balance between speed and playability, in my case with sound on and the frameskip that gives the best speed without making it too choppy to play or see.

For me 60 fps is FS0. Else it is not... Only pure performance matter... Else I could do a 2000 fps with a frameskip of 100. Which is just plain stupid.
Now I think game like Street Figther or Super mario world run at more than 60 fps with sound with the ME version I believe... Many RPG does too.
But it is true that they don't stay at 60 fps all the time. Still it is quite bad to have a frameskip of 1 just for 10% of the game time that is slow.
The version 0.4 will have an improved auto frameskip, but still, it is very hard to have it select automatically a FS0 when possible. (like at 57 or 58 fps, you prefer a FS0 than a FS1...)
