Since we are all waiting for the 0.4 version, why don't you guys release a beta one? The more the betatesters, the more problems are going to be found and corrected.(This is just a suggestion, I am not forcing you to release the beta version)

But... once we posted the binaries on the yoyo's site. What is the difference between a "beta" or an "final" release ?
Except the "name change", it is just a release like any other one. We don't have a test procedure like NASA which would then justify "beta" or "not beta".
The thing is to go open or not, thats the point.

I think the beta version is the the one that goes to the crowd without any testing, so people test it, find its bugs, and inform the programmer about them so he corrects them. The final release is the one that is released after all beta release's problems have been resolved and all bugs have been eliminated. And in the download page there is no 0.4 binary, only 0.3 and older releases.

And also, this release has the coolest feature, multiplayer wi-fi!But a new feature means new problems to be resolved. So if the current betatesters don't have 2 PSP with 1.5 fw, someone in the forum will surely have in order to test wifi multiplayer.

greeks,
Technically these are all considered "beta" releases as they haven't even hit 1.0.
I'm sure their internal testing team knows about some bugs and needs to fix them before they release it so they don't get 100 emails that tell them what they already know.

Anyway, all the software released or promoted here in this forum that are made by Yoyo, Laxer, Metaview, Tinnus... or anyone... are in beta status... and most of the people here never says: "hey... I found a bug here!..." "I found a bug there..." --- The people just blame, or ask: "why this game is not working...?" or "do anyone has roms...?" etc... So I think that is the major reason that makes all of the crew of this forum to not release the software yet... and I'm agreed with them!

And among the 5 stuff that we hate the most, is asking for releases. So, please, DO NOT.

- Stupid questions (not the "intelligence impaired" type, but the "I'm asking instead of trying because I'm lazy") - Double posts without need - People that don't read the readme.txt] - "I didn't search the forum" type questions
That's a good list. I might change something later if I find/remember worst cases.

I've been testing the wifi multiplayer for a little while now. Others have as well. From what I've read in private, the dev team know what issues are there, and are working to resolve them. I agree that if more people had it, more bugs could be found, but they would also have 10000 more posts about why something isnt working. Just as wantan posted above.

Yeah, the devs told the beta team they already have enough to work with and don't want any more bug reports.
