Alright, in Tales of Phantasia in the ME version of the emulator, when you load a savestate for the game, the sound simply does not work, but if you load a save through the game, the sound works fine. Is there any way to fix this sound problem?

Have you tried quickly opening the emulator's menu and then going back to the game once the sound stops working? I noticed the same "bug" in secret of evermore - if I load the state I have no sound whatsoever, until I access the emulator menu and come back, then it's fine

with me it doesn't work unless you go back ingame in between also turning it to no output is not enough

I have noticed this save state bug where sound stops only happens when I load my old previous save states from Snes TYL 0.3 ME on my 1.5 Psp.
Most of the time the sound can be restored by going into menu and disabling and then re-enabling sound emulation but this does not always work.
The worst is in Zelda because nothing seems to be able to restore the sound at all.
Apart from that bug everything else is great and I am 100% pleased with this release.

it's a bug, it will be fixed in 0.4.2, soon to be released basically, after loading a state, the sound is emulated but turned off (volume is 0). when going into menu after loading a savestate, sound will be turned on again if it was properly save before.
if you want to load from a savestate from previous version, try the import state feature

somethimes (tried only in breath of fire) also if you return to the menu and then again to the game it just plays just one second of music and repeats it (this sometimes, not always fortunately, with save states during battles) and then when it finish the battle, the game plays the transition to the map and then crashes to black screen (the emulator still works but the game is crashed, like the spc chip not being emulated...)

This isn't an imported savestate. I loaded through the game's save feature and made a savestate in that spot. Sound works through in-game saves, but not through savestates.

Ok Yoyo this bug isn't just save state either. When me and a buddy were playing Super Mario World, both on .4me, we were in the overworld but the game tried to resync with each other and after it got back to the overworld, the sound was stopped. It didn't continue utill we went to a level.

i noticed also that with breath of fire 2 i get only silence after loading a state. the game works fine but there isn't sound. to resolve this i have to save to sram, reset the snes, and reload from sram

I had the same problem with A Link to the Past.
I created a save state on Death Mountain in the Dark World and the sound started going screwy.
In game saves were working fine (and I was able to beat the game ;D).
