The so-called "hackers" did not "leak" it. It was uploaded in the same directory as the binaries, and open directory listing was turned on. I had observed this a couple of weeks ago. If you don't want this to happen, DONT UPLOAD IT TO AN OPEN DIRECTORY. It's your own fault; you can't put the blame on anyone.

for sure I wasn't aware of the default security option of my provider. but if you noticed this a couple of weeks ago, then wouldn't had it been nice to email us ?
as laxer3a already wrote, it's not a big issue to have the sourcecode leaked if it wasn't the risk of having people compiling new binaries including some malware stuff, like bricking your psp... on our side we fear nothing : we know what we do, we are aware of the risks and we have much more uptodate sources... the issue is for common users who could be abuse by a new build from a third party with bad stuff in it.
so if you want to be useful for the community, try to be constructive next time

Isn't this a risk inherent with the provision of all source code though? Not quite sure why all the fuss. If people download binaries from non-trusted sources like P2P then this risk has always existed.
Anyway great release!

The fuss is about beeing PARANOID. I am paranoid, and every one should be.
What happen if somebody recompile our code, release a super duper new 0.4, that crash your PSP after 20 times you use it ?
Do you really think that people would not come here and scream that we are not a very nice persons ?
While it is true with any program where the source is open. The risk was that 0.4 binaries were not released officially so people could rush to download a bad underground version.
So it is GOOD to scream that the wolf is coming, even if not... As long as you dont do that all the time (know the story right ?)
As I said earlier, it is not a matter of having it(a problem) already happen but a matter of "image" and take care of things BEFORE trouble happen.

By the way... I NEVER SAID HACKERS. I said code was leaked... Everybody could have accessed it, but it was NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED (no link on the web pages).
Anyway as said before, code is not a SENSITIVE stuff anyway.
