I know i ask a lot of questions, but how do you uses the cheats with the snes games and emu

find codes using internet
input it in snes9xTYL menu (if you found a game genie, use the add game genie code, it it's pro action replay, use the add pro action replay code, ...)
choose a name of accept the default one (press start)
load your game once again (game / load new game / choose the same game)
you should see a small popup before the game start with "found x cheats code"
