Yeah, you read it right, LJP will soon have support for SMS/GG ROMs thanks to GuineaPig by skeezix (which is based on SMSPlus by Charles MacDonald). I'm doing the last tweaks now to release a beta version which probably won't include sound and save states (but I'll add those later; save states is just a matter of 10min work. I just wanted to have everything else working before). Also, there are some other problems which were there in GuineaPig originally so it's not my fault ;D - SMS games don't work, the colors are all weird and the screen is cut at the sides. - For whatever reason, none of the SOnic games work. The rest seems to run as expected. This is really odd . SEGA must've used some hardware trick which's not supported by SMSPlus. I'm downliading the PC version right now to check this. Aside from that, the GG screen shows fine, although it's doubled on the sides ;D No 2x mode currently too, but that can be worked on later.

Tinnus, I just would like to extend my thanks to you for the work you are putting into this. I know Jeff and Yoyo have both also put in a lot of work as well. With the three of you all adding emulator support, and Dimitry adding memory management through UDMH, I think I will actually be able to run pretty much anything I could want on my T5. As it is right now, most all SNES games run flawlessly - speed wise, sound wise, you name it. That is unbelievable to me. I (for a variety of reasons) pretty much missed out on the console gaming my entire time growing up. I went straight from an Atari 800 to an Atari ST to a PC. With these emulators, I am really starting to see just what I missed out on! Thanks again, -Verxion

Good news: GG working with 2x scaling, all GB filters tested and working. It actually runs faster than the GB emu. Left to do: - Save/Load states (easy) - Sound (I guess it's easy too) - Getting SMS to work (I believe that's some bug skeezix introduced during the porting, I should contact him about this)

I am sure someone there will track that bug, as that is most likely the best place on the net to get ahold of the SMS experts. I'd love to see good SMS emulation in LJP!

I've discovered it's not working because it thinks that the ROM is GG, even if I force it being SMS after loading. Some code in god-knows-where it forcing it to use GG. BTW, it can't even be a "memory cleanup" issue or something because 0 means SMS and 1 means GG in the structure. I'll probably release a GG alpha soon. The great SMS games are also available for GG
