I'm getting a graphical bug to where you cannot see the World Map when you're out of towns. You only see the red dot indicating where you are. If I turn off BG1 I believe, you can see your character and the world map on a black screen but when you turn it on, you see the background and your character but no world map other than for the red dot. Does anyone have a workaround to this?
Also this game suffers from the save state sound bug. There's already a thread on this but I can't seem to get the "fix" to work so I have to play from actual saves from the game internally to get sound still.

I am getting a strange problem. I am at Sabin's scenario (in the Veldt) and when I am in town, I sometimes get a weird blue box that has '3' in it. When this happens, the game lags a lot. It seems to happen when I am in the arsenal shop going in front of the weapon/armor merchants. It then continues in random places while I run around town. Any solutions to this?

that's a bug that's being fixed in .42, no workaround for .41

That's the autosave for SRAM. Turn off SRAM autosaving and it won't do that anymore. Basically, whenever there is a change in the SRAM, it saves it (and that 3 box is when it is saving).

as for the blue box, i asked about it on pspupdates, and yoyofr told me it was a known isssue and would be fixed in 4.2 i am using the ME version on 1.5, and im pretty sure i have sram auto saving turned off, the timer is off and the other thing says no so if that really is the issue, where exactly is the option to turn it off? its in ff3 only.

I think you're turning on frameskip of 3 using the analog stick shortcut. Push up and down on the stick and see what numbers come up and watch your frameskip.

Yeah, I'm using the 1.5 (ME?) version as well. I'll wait for a bug fix, but other than this, everything works great .

I am having a different problem, when i doing that opera house mission, it shows the game running but nothing progresses. i had this problem in v. 3 but it was when celis started to sing. i just imported the save state and now there is no music and the game doesn't progress.

the savestate wasn't fixed for me with .42 but I still can't see the minimap on the world screen. If I turn off BG0 in the debug settings, it shows with the character on a black screen but still can't get it to work with BG0 on. Anyone have any ideas?

you probably have a bad savestate. you should try saving ingame instead of using savestate and recreate a new one after a clean a start (loading your ingame save and not the savestate). regarding minimap issue, check your hack/debug setup in menu/MISC

The only things I have on, and I've tried a bunch of combinations.. are: speed hacks, obj and bg0-3. I can't seem to get the minimap showing unless I turn bg0 off. I'm running fw1.5 and using 0.4.2 ME. I'm also using the psp accel+approx soft, zoom 4/3, smoothening, speed limit, auto frameskip.
is there something else I should be doing?

change psp accel+approx soft to psp accel+accur if it's not working, try turning off speed hacks & reload your game (not reset, but load a new game and open the file again)

Any one experiencing frequent crashing with FF3?
Seems i can only play for at most 20minute at a time and it'll blue or red screen.
My settings are CPU speed 266 Mhz Sound 44khz Graphic Engine: PSP accel. + accur. soft. Speed limit FPS 60 Frame Skip 2
Also even when i use save state to save a game and Snes decides to crash, it won't "really" save the game.
I have to exit the Emu and go back in before it really saves it.
Would like to know if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks
Forgot to add, im using 0.42 ME version of the emulator and im using firmware 1.5 on my PSP
