Hey every1 plz don't flame me but i was wondering if frame skip makes it seem choppy/blurry for every1. I bought my psp used (couldn't afford 270 ><) and was wondering if it'z just my psp or me. But any frameskip at all makes gameplay rather uncomfortable for me. Thnx guys This EMU ROCKS.

i dont think its the frame skip, after about 30 to 40 min of playing my psp, my vision becomes very blurry.... to the point that i have trouble reading. but after about a 15 min break my eyes go back to normal. i never had this problem until i got my psp. guess my mom was right years ago when she said staring at those video games would ruin my vision.

I do hate frameskip and try to avoid setting any frameskip as much as possible. Frameskip beyond 1 or 2 is annoying to me. Not blurry though. Just a little choppy.

I would recommend FS0, most game run smooth even if slowdown happen sometime.
Actually I would like to see auto skip to activate / desactivate VSync, disable speed limit if speed > 65 FPS for more than 200 frames.
For games that are always >60 FPS FS0 + No speed limit + VSync On is the best way to go. It will be like a real Snes.
Try this with Super Mario World or SF2, you will see what I mean.

FW2.6 eloader 0.9.6 and s9xTYL 0.4.2 standard.
eh frameskip for me isnt that fluid 60FPS = Perfect, and if i usually get lets say 45fps,
I would think all i'd have to do is set to frameskip to 1, then it will be 60/30 skip 1 frame, render 1 frame. Sounds about right. that would be VERY playable. But, its not that easy for me.
i got a problem where if im getting 45/45 then turn frameskip to 1, i'll get like 44/22.. I dont get whats up with that though. ....and im still trying to figure it out.
but for now if i play a game thats usually 60fps-perfect, and im getting 45, the only way to get 60 emulated frames is a frameskip of 3 and it will be 60/15 Its choppy, and annoying, but i get used to it after about 20 minutes, just gives me a killer headache of i dont take a break every hour or so
But hey if you guys got an easy fix, or suggestion, maybe one of my settings are wrong. Let me know. Any help (even if it doesnt work) its worth a shot and greatly appreciated.
Edit: forgot to add, the problem where the games in where it goes from 45/45 to 44/22 with 1 frameskip on. only happens in some games not all. (since the 0.4.2 there are a few games that run perfectly from 45/45 to 63/31 (when you set frame limit to 62)

Seriously guys this sounds like you may be straining your eyes, have you been to an optician to see if you are Near/Far sighted?

yeah sounds like what i get if i don't wear my glasses.. something like my eyes get accustomed to lookin at the psp so everything further/closer away gets blurry if i look up (cuz ur eyes are straining to constantly look at the psp when it's not the ideal distance)
