I tested the new version 0.4.2 with PSafeP 1.2 and it shows some suspicious flash access. Why? Is something written into the flash rom? Or is it only flash read access?
Need some help.
PS: Is 0.4.2 faster than 0.2c (PSP 2.00)?

It's the standart version so ME access is not possible. Does it run faster on the 2.00 PSP? --> 0.3 was much slower
thanks for reply

Thats strange... we do not access the flash in anyway. The ME access are not related to flash... kind of weird.
Source code is open so you can see that we are not doing anything bad into the emu.

I think that program is not very accurate , you can check the source to see that its safe

If it did acess the flash this would be nothing but good to me because then there would be some possible way to downgrade the 2.1+ firmware... IDK don't know much about PSP coding but from what I know about the PSP homebrew scene (been around since June of last year) is that acessing the flash is a good thing if you want to downgrade a PSP. But probaly just some bug in PSP safe who knows.

flash access requires kernel mode for homebrew. kernel mode is only possible on 1.00,1.5 & with some restrictions (but enough to launch the downgrader) 2.00 firmware.
