Emulator crashes

I'm having a problem getting my roms to load. Here's some info:
-PSP v2.60
-Eloader v0.97 bock (used auto install)
-SNES_tyl v0.42 standard (copied SNES_tyl folder from 1.0 folder in zip folder to my GAME folder on my PSP)
-Emulator boots up fine, but booting roms makes the screen go black and PSP crashes
-Tried formatting memory stick
-Tried clean boot right to GTA, then ELoader, then SNES_tyl
-Tried several different roms
-PSP crashes after trying to load with no error message
-I get and error when I try activate USB mode in the emulator
Any ideas?

I've tried plenty of different roms. I guess I'll try different sites, but could it be anything else?
Sorry about my ignorance with the USB problem, by the way.

Just one little idea: Check if there is only the rom-file in your zip. Some sites put a few extra-files into their archives and I had a few roms that crashed whenever there were more files in the zip. If that's the case, delete those files.
