Hi guys, First off, I want to thank yoyo and the gang for such an amazing ARRAY OF PROGRAMS for the Palm community. LJP has been AWESOME on the Treo 650 for me (Unlocked GSM, firmware 1.14) with UDMH. But this morning after I updated my phone (to firmware 1.15, software: treo650-1.06-row), LJP has stopped running on the machine claiming 'out of memory' for Genesis and SNES games. Sometimes followed by 'Error loading 2:/PALM/Programs...'. They used to run fine... what's weird is that most NES games still run. The free ram is at 13618K (with UDMH). The firmware seems to improve Treo 650's memory management (it freed up 4MB+ for me!) but introduced incompatibilities to LJP. This is an official firmware that Palm distributes to their service centers and distributors around the world, and newer Treo 650 devices (unlocked GSM) are preloaded with this firmware. Anyone else can confirm this? -Yulianto PS: This is a thread about the firmware, along with download link somewhere in there.. I just started using the emulator myself, and I don't know what your problem is, but I'm running it fine on a GSM Treo 650 with FW 1.15. I was having a lot of problems with the 0.9 version though with SNES resetting and memory errors all the time, but that went away when I downgraded to 0.8. Also, I'm sure you already tried this, but try resetting, and then reconfiguring UDMH. UDMH has to run in the background, and if you did a firmware update, it would probably reset that. Just a thought. You also may need to defrag your ram if the new firmware does memory handling differently (see the UDMH web site). Good luck.

Hi there heli0s01,
0.9 was fine on mine (just used 0.8 to setup SNES buttons).
Anyway, UDMH always sets itself up after reset (LJP would show 4800K-ish RAM otherwise), and I backup/restored my device with Backupman for the firmware. Which is the recommended method for defragging, if I'm not mistaken.
Can you tell me more about UDMH's configuration to check? I appreciate your thoughts, any other suggestions?

Sorry, I don't have any other ideas at the moment. When I talked about the udmh config, I just meant remove your setup to ljp and re-add it. I have no extra config options set on mine, just defaul and it works fine. I currently have about 6meg free on my internal memory (before udmh).
Well, good luck.
PS. If all else fails, you can always back everything up, and to a hard reset, then just install lfp/udmh only and see if it works. I have heard of various programs causing issues just by being installed and they're hard to track down unless you start fresh. The treo 650 is one of the buggiest palm devices I've ever seen. Not a day goes by that mine doesn't soft reset at random, but I still love it non the less. Anyway, that would be MY last resort if I were you.
And thanks for the 0.9 tip. I'll reinstall it and see if my keys work.

Helios, Thanks bro. That worked for me, a full backup - hard reset - and full restore. I also did some custom rom job, moving some 4+ MB stuffs off my RAM into ROM (Agendus, UDMH, etc). Now I can get 16-20MB heap in LJP, depending on the crap I have loaded in my RAM I can run more games in LJP and CaSTaway gives me all the options (save state, drive a and b, etc). -Y
