Alright this is going to sound strange but I noticed that version 0.2c is faster than the latest version of SNES TYL V0.42me, I was wondering if YOYO/Laxter has any explanation for this.

Welcome to the forums. Do I know you from somewhere? Does it run faster on all games or just certain ones.

Mainly certain ones, like certain ones do run faster on the latest version, but I'm a little surprised on why this runs so slow. Also there are graphical errors as well as the latest version that were not in v0.2c For example In super Mario 64 when you beat a level the black bubble that goes around you is fully black (V0.2c) in the latest version its more choppy and there are colors missing. It just doesn't seem to make sense to me on how the emulation actually got slower and there are more graphical errors than before. If anybody has an explanation for this that would be great. I simple use the latest version strictly for the multiplayer support. But it would be nice if some how we could compile V0.2c with the ad hoc mode, and the nice gui that was implemented in the latest release.
Also "Mavsman4457" if you seen me before its been on one of these forums:

Snes9xtyl 0.2c without sound is faster than 0.42me without sound, it's correct... but with sound(and a correct setting) the 0.42me is more fast.

Thanks for the input, I'm going to tinker with the settings a bit more to get a desired user interface =]

Alright please don't hassle me but I have measured many conclusions on the versions and I do declare that V0.2c is faster, and has less graphical errors on certain roms than the latest 0.42me. This is no big deal to me but it was just a bit surprisng

Make sure you are at 333mhz, the sound is at 44khz, engine is Hardware+accurate software, vsync is off.
In order of speed, you SHOULD be getting, in order of fast to slow:
.2c WITHOUT sound .4.2 WITH sound .4.2 without sound .3 .2c with sound
I think sound is very important, so I use .42me, because enabling sound in .2c slows the emulator down quite a lot.

1/ .2c does not have the need to synchronize his job with the ME. 2/ .2c can run a special loop that completly skip any audio emulation : no audio thread / no apu emulation... Just CPU + GPU. 3/ .2c has no network ability (i dont know how much cpu it draws but...)
This is why it is faster than any ME version.

Unless you like to play with sound on, then the ME version is clearly the way to go. I like my sound.
