I played Terranigma with no problems beginning to end... ME version is a *must*, other then that it might be one of those games that needs frameskip on auto to run smoothless (which slight speed dips when music changes)

Engine: PSP Accel + Accur. soft. Video Mode: Zoom 4/3 Smoothing: yes Speed limit switch: yes Speed limit FPS: AUTO (Detect PAL/NTSC) Frameskip: AUTO VSync: no Render PAL as NTSC: yes Gamma Correction: 0 Show FPS: yes
Sound Mode: Emulated, output Output frequency: 44100 Hz APU Cycles Ratio: 100.00%
PSP Clockspeed: 333 Mhz
Runs at a smooth 50 FPS on these settings (FPS is the max so I guess my rom is PAL or something
this is on 0.4.2me, running off of 3.10 OE-A' (note that I played terranigma beginning to end on 1.5)

then clearly you are not using some setting in there I cannot identify
Unless of course you're talking about roaming the world map. OF COURSE it's going to be slower there
in any case if those settings do not work (those settings that definately and surely work for me) then I cannot help you any further

no what i mean is that when frameskip is on auto it looks like it is on 5 frameskip. even 1 framskip looks better than it. the movements are smoother with no framskip too

Exactly which areas are you exploring when you notice this issue?

so.. don't put it on auto but a specific setting.. i fail to see a real problem

Well clearly if the auto setting is forcing the framskip to something like 4, the game will run insanely slow (FPS-wise) without it...
But I dunno, my auto sets it to 0 unless a massive slowdown is detected, there's gotta be *some* setting somewhere that isn't like mine... either that or there's a difference in the rom (though I doubt that)
overworld map (due to the engine they used for it) slows down a lot so auto sets the frameskip to 2-3 for there, otherwise it stays around 0 or 1
Hum.. are you perchance running off an eloader or something that would not allow the PSP to be overclocked to 333?

no im running it at 333mhz
i would rather run it on 0 framskip since auto doesnt make it as smooth as 0. when i coose 1 frameskip it runs pretty smooth, but still i hate frame skipping.
thanx for your help

why would you specifically want auto frameskip? if 1 works for you no big deal right :S

Well if auto isn't working properly for you (don't ask me why) your only choice is to bind some controls for "increase/decrease frameskip" and just manually change it to whatever works best based on the location you're in in the game...
