2.8 firmware settings

ok maybe there might be a post on this already, but whats the best settings for snestyl on this firmware? its really hard to look for stuff on this forum since the search thing works a little weird.

anyway, ive used older snestyls and this one runs the slowest so far. i donno what im doin wrong because games like super tennis and super punchout arent working as fast as they used to. soooooooo....can anyone post up optimal settings for 2.8 firmware. thanks alot

Rule of thumb, these should work pretty well:
Engine: PSP Accel + Accur. soft.
Video Mode: Zoom 4/3
Smoothing: yes
Speed limit switch: yes
Speed limit FPS: AUTO (Detect PAL/NTSC)
Frameskip: AUTO
VSync: no
Render PAL as NTSC: yes
Gamma Correction: 0
Show FPS: yes (not necessary, I just like to see my FPS)

Sound Mode: Emulated, output
Output frequency: 44100 Hz
APU Cycles Ratio: 100.00%

PSP Clockspeed: 333 Mhz


However, since you're running off an eloader probably, clockspeed might only be manageable for 300 Mhz, and you're stuck using the user version - in this case, reduce the output frequency for sound, or just turn sound off altogether to get a performance boost

You can also try different settings for the frameskip since some people report problems with the auto setting

Ultimately the best option would be, of course, to downgrade

downgrade 2.8 to 1.5, go up to custom firmwares.
