Yes they are. Apparently. When? Nobody knows. They are busy. They will not answer such questions.

Please don't flame me, but as this forum is struggling to survive, wouldn't it be quite a good thing to have news about any progresses made? I know the authors are busy, and I am very thankful for all the work they have put in this emu. I have been playing emus for a while now,and this one is the best I have seen... Still, some news might be a good thing to keep the community alive. Again, please don't flame, I just ask cause I love this emu and the snes.

Well then, let's say that the final build was the 4.2... It had so many new features that it sure sounded like a final! But then why did the authors said they were doing one if they didn't intend to work on it anymore? We can't ask them to work on it,but they told us they would, then why aren't they? Sorry if I sound aggressive or just too sticky, I didn't mean to.

Basicly, there are a few final touches that they'd like to work on, such as the save state sound bug...
It's basicly the whole "What I'd like it to be, before I leave it alone forever" against the "What I have time to do"

I agree! We can play all snes games on a psp,and that's wonderful!!!!Really! Just imagine playing emus on a gameboy!!!!! Would that be playing? Then be grateful that some hardware buddies are teaming with other people that are keen on psp... Aren't ypou happy with your psp? Really there is no problem between me and the final build, I don't even know what to add to it,it feels perfect to me! Maybe some mp3 support, but I won't use it,this is just for the use of the emu!

a "last" version will be released, I'm gonna start working again on it very soon. I have been very busy for some months but I'll have more time soon, so expect something in some weeks... ;-)

WOW!!! Will it just be a minor release or will there be any significant changes? I remember WAY BACK when you or Laxer mentioned something about trying to do Mode 7 effects on the ME, if you can pull that off for the final release that would be great! The inability to handle Mode 7 at full speed is really the only thing holding this emu back.

As was mentionned many times before, by the creators of the emulator themselves, speed up in this game and any other requiring a special seperate chip for processing is not possible on any level.

I have Super Mario RPG set on frame skip 1, speed limit fps Auto detect and vsync off. I get 59fps that sometimes slows down to 47- 49fps during battle. This is more than playable and I have been playing it for ages now. I did update my snesadvance.dat recently which contains updated speed hacks but I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks for the heads-up on the snesadvance.dat update lodis. Most of the games that were near fullspeed before are running near perfect now. Only problem... Mario RPG won't load up (black screen), lol. Could you (or anyone) post the speedhack line for SMRPG? Since the other games in the hack work fine, my guess that SMRPG has one of it's settings wrong.

The only link to a snesadvance.dat I could find in that post was broken (front page) and while I did find a working link to a snesadvance.dat (mog's?) it seems smrpg doesn't even load with it so it can't be the one you guys were talking about O.o

That must be the same one i found. It's pretty big, 73k. The few games that i've tried that have hacks available seem to be running a lot smoother, except of course for smrpg. Maybe lodis has a different hack line for it?

Hey yoyo, I'm extremely excited to see that a final version of, what I consider, the greatest hombrew for the psp, is to built. Thanks for your hard work. Now, I dont want to seem rude or inconsiderate but, will the screen that shows up on the emu that asks for donations be taken out of the final build? I realise it seems quite rude to ask such a thing but, that would make the emu even better for me. You may think I am a cheap ass, but I have actually dontated a few times ( and why not). Thanks for reading.

hmm the one I found is only 38k, could you upload yours somewhere? (or link to it if you can find it again)
EDIT: well I fiddled around with mog123's latest snesadvance.dat and got SMRPG working with it.. it seems you have to remove the line "C0=428D," from its hacks... I would LOVE to say this worked and all and... it did? O.o well frameskip auto is a no-no (it'll jack it up to 9 all the time rendering the game unplayable) but if you leave it on 2 it's actually playable... not 100% fullspeed (54-55 fps, sometimes 60) but it IS playable... in-battle sticks around 49-51
Note that the abovementionned FPS are emulated FPS, that is the speed the game is running at. The actual FPS stay around 19-20

but.. the actual framerate of the "normal" snes9x4.2me was also 19-20 @ mario rpg eh? I doubt speedhacks are really going to hugely boost mario rpg's performance cuz of the extra chip n all..

I put a copy of the one I found on my website, here's the link to the file - www.sonyindex.com/files/snesadvance.zipIt should go without saying, I take NO credit to the work gone into it. mog123, acelightning70 and anyone else at Pocket Haven deserve that. I'm almost certain I got it from the link posted in thier forum. If they pulled it to stop us from getting it, let me know and I'll take it down from my site. SMRPG is a ways from perfect, but it's highly playable now And, is it my imagination or are games running slightly faster (1-2 fps) with Vsync turned on? I'm using Ruka's latest build and I'm seeing no slowdowns and in a few cases a very slight speed increase with vsync on.

I turned on vsync too, just because the games (that i played) seemed to be running better, and i wanted to see if vsync had any affect on them. it didnt slow them down thats for sure. im running Rukas latest build..... i really wish the tyl team and ruka got together........any one know if they have?
