303 OE-C question???

i just bought a psp about 3 hrs ago... im trying to figure out how to get the roms to run... i got the emulator working by putting it in the game150 folder but i cant find any games... im thinking it might be the format of the rom... i have super mario kart in the formats of .7z and .swc... is there a certain format i need? all i get in the top right corner is 2 dots. maybe im putting the rom in the wrong folder... im getting really confused and my headache has grown every hour on this... if anyone could help me out that would be great... thanks

never heard of .swc but a .7z is a compressed file, you'd need to find the 7z unzipper or whatever they call it, extract the .smc and then you can run the game...
select the double dots, press X (or circle, don't remember exactly) so you'll go up one folder, use this to navigate to whatever folder you put your roms in

your files HAVE to be .smc or .zip (don't just rename them to that)
