Hi there gang. I'm new to the PSP emulation scene and I'm having trouble getting SNES9xTYL to work on my PSP.
I've upgraded to the version 3.40 OE-A firmware(because I thought I read somewhere that I had to to make this work?)
I tried to move the files over into my games folder and run them within the OS, but they come up as corrupt data.
When I boot into "recovery mode" and try to run them, I get a black screen that stalls out indefinitely.
I've tried this with the regular and the ME versions, and both get me the same results.
What am I doing wrong?

you're supposed to put them in the /GAME150 folder that appeared when you upgraded the firmware

The GAME folder is enough for all your homebrewin (correct me if i'm wrong, cuz I havn't had any problems so far) Now, since your new to the scene.. and havn't been here since "before" the releases of FW 2.0. Anyways, you should stick to the 1.0 EBOOTS or the ones without the % folders (exploited, aka 1.5 eboots) So in this case, it's the ME version (either version is okay, but I would recommend you to stick to those eboots that uses kernel mode). As for hiding the corrupt folders when using 1.5 eboots, rather rename the folder like this, rather than using registry tweaks. -for example-%__SCE__EBOOT __SCE__EBOOT Were EBOOT is the name of your choice.. kinda "dummy guide" for newbies.

haitenai since the beginning of OE's it's been like this: you set the kernel to a certain version, and /psp/game will follow that. /psp/game150 will be 150 kernel no matter what. so you do not HAVE to set the kernel to 1.5 in recovery mode. so if you put it in /psp/game150 there's no difference, except that no matter what it'll be run under 1.5. Also hiding corrupt icons can be done in recovery mode, don't have to rename anymore

Using the SCE method will however not bring such a huge slowdown. Still, if you run with only 222mhz then you'll notice a slowdown but not as much (do some tests if you do not believe me) 2nd, why have 3 folders, when you can only have 1? But then again this comes for personal interrests. Sure, if you wanna have 3 folders, fine with me.

Well at least 2 folders is a good idea, so that you can seperate those eboots that must be run on later versions from the eboots that run on 1.5

yeah they mentioned that slowdown, but it was only supposed to be when you added/removed/changed stuff in the folders (added emus etc) so if u leave ur stuff as is, u shouldnt get the slowdown.. but no big trouble to do __SCE__ anyway And no need for three folders, kernel for game to 3.4 and game150.. that way you can play official psp demos and emus as well..
