Right well, unless you live under a rock(no offense if you do, I've been there for months now) you should have probably noticed that Dark_Alex (ignore case) has abandoned us and left the scene. Our fates then continued to grow even worse when Sony started releasing games/demos/downloads exclusively for the 3.51 firmware. Still, thus far we can take refuge in the fact that the 3.51 update is not manditory (thus far) and as such we still have some time to adjust/prepare for the change. Now we are presented with basically 2 different options: a) go back under our rocks and live with what we already have, or b) turn to newer inexperienced firmware developers.
So basically i would like to ask you guys how you're tackling this obstacle (personally i don't really fancy choice a so just forget it), specifically what firmware versions u guys are going to use. I've heard several things about the M33 version, many of which are negative stating that it has many glitches as it is not original work but rather an attempt to reverse-engineer 3.40 OE-A and use its principle to build a 3.51 OE. Also the M33 version is constantly getting more support and updates, meaning that (or at least in my opinion) we should wait until a fully stable build is created and a hell of a lot more people switch to it and give feed back. This however is not the only alternative, though it does seem to be the most popular, for instance another seemingly promising one is the 3.51XR version which seems promising yet is still in development and no release copy exists (making the features seem questionable).
So regardless my real question is this, now that DAX is gone, and Sony is being a ****** (read it however you want), what do all of you plan on doing?
