I seem to be having some issues with the emulator. On average, once every half an hour the screen will go red (or slightly orange) and display the message: "will exit to PSP menu in 10 seconds". After the ten second wait the psp turns off. Either that message or a mess of numbers and letters and the message: "we regret to inform you that your psp has crashed ...sh*t happens" Because of this problem I need to save every few minutes or else I will lose all my progress in the game. So you can imagine my frustration.
Any idea what the problem is and if theres any known solution to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I would like to remove the Adams family song from the background music list, any idea which file this is called so I can remove it without accidentally removing any of my more preferred songs?

Snes9xTYL 0.4.2, downloaded from this site, on firmware 1.50. I've added some of my own images to the background and I have a 2G memory stick.

When exactly does the screen go red? While the game is running and you're playing it, when you're in the menu, any time?

At any time. Mostly while I'm playing a game, but it has been known to crash while trying to save.

No, it happens with every game.
So, no one else has this problem?

I've just spent a couple hours checking all the files on the memory stick, removing other emulators and playing the Snes9xYTL until it crashes. Using different memory sticks, trying 0.4.2 and ME. Nothing.
I have other emulators (n64, sega, genesis) and the genesis does also crash(rarely), but when I removed that emulator and started up the Snes9xTYL the crashes still continue.
I've tried everything I can think of.
Regardless of this bug, I wouldn't trade this snes emulator for any other.
PS: I'd still like to remove the Adams family song. Any idea what the file name is?

the file to remove the crap music or even add your own is music.zip in the /data folder (the file inside the .zip to remove is the afam2-01.spc)
as for your problem... I would look into the possibility that something is physically wrong with your PSP... :/ other forums might be better equipped to help you with that problem...

Version : 0.4.2me. (Downloaded from this site and from QJ.net, both crash)
Firmware : 3.52 M33 #4
Details : I have nearly the same problem that bobo does. After playing Sim City for a half hour or so the screen turns orange and states "will exit to PSP menu in 10 seconds." or alternatively "your PSP has crashed. Sorry s**t happens :-\ " I have it set to 300mhz, psp accelerated + approx soft. I am using an 8GB Sony memory stick. I also tried using a 4GB Sony memory stick, and the problem persists.
Occurrence : always.
