Hi!
I think I'm a crazy man, but my (all) T|T5 is far from a good palm... Well, for LJP I'm right...
Let's se what red-mercury (http://www.red-mercury.com/nvfs.html) says about T|T5 memory arquitecture:
INTERNAL drive = NAND internal "ram" memory = NAND
real 32mb RAM = 16 mb rom + 10 mb "cache" memory + 6 mb dynamic heap memory
what "memory" UDMH uses do enlarge Dynamic memory heap?
I think I has a palm with a maximum os 16mb UDMH heap memory (10mb cache + 6mb heap). I'm all right?
I don't know. On other forums I see another explanation of memory arquitecture of T|T5:
real "RAM" = 16 mb = 8mb rom + 4mb cache + 4mb dynamic heap memory
UDMH maximum = 8mb (4+4)
hei! In this way, I will never see more than 4mb of free memory heap on LJP without UDMH (right for me), and with UDMH I can't load any SNES game cause it's necessary more then 10mb free dynamic heap memory(right again?).
Some one understand my bad English??? Anyone can tell if I am wrong?
I'm really disappointed with T|T5.
thanks,
PS: Someone really played a SNES game with LJP on T|T5???

Run LJP with UDMH on. How much free RAM does it show?

I am using a T5 and UMDH 2.8 for 3 months now... and i have played quite a few SNES games so far. I have done a full hard-reset to clean up my T5 ( i need it anyway) then installed both UDMH and LJP 0.8. I installed LJP in my INTERNAL drive rather than in main memory. I am playing FF3, Chrono Trigger and Der Langrisser with 1.25x (without sound. The sound crashes are RANDOM even with 1x screen size) However, i found that with a clean soft reset, you can only run LJP twice before it crashes. (someone mentioned about unable to clear the memory from UDMH) I even used UDMH mem clearing options but it still doesn't work. Not a real problem for me as i always do a Soft-Reset before i play my games. (nice for long train rides) T5 is good for its nice and bright screen but the sound quality is nothing to brag about. (A 8-)Creative Zen Micro beats it hands down) I am able to play for about 2 hours straight (draining 75% batt) with 30% screen brightness.

UDMH uses the memory on your palm that you store applications on. From the palm launcher if you tap the menu and go to Info its the Free Space that is shown for your Handheld.

But T|T5 has only 16mb real RAM memory. The 55mb to programs is on a NAND partition... If I can get 57mb memory with UDMH, probably it uses the RAM and the NAND memory??? I'm Right?
