I have a few hundred ROMs that I'm trying to get working on my PSP, and I'm hoping someone will help me.
These ROMs don't have a file extention, I know SNES9XTYL is supposed to run on .zip ROMs. If I rename these to .zip and/or put them in a zip file, I get a black screen "Error while loading rom". Pressing a button gives me an ugly blue screen and restarts my PSP after about 10 seconds
All of these ROMs work with the newest release of SNES9x for PC, so I know their not bad. I'm guessing that TYL simply isn't updated to handle this file type, or the PSP doesn't support it for whatever reason.
I'm hoping someone here has experienced this problem and know a way to work around it, I'd hate to see all these go to waste. Thanks in advance for any help ya'll can give.
SNES9XTYL v. 0.4.2 System Software v. 3.52 M33 If you need any other system info from me, or need an example of one of the roms to see what I'm talking about, e-mail me at dimarchon84@yahoo.com
Edit: before anyone asks, I have tried it with the 3 real .zip roms I have, and the TYL does work with those, so I don't think it's a bad install or anything.

Ah, yes, they are .smc And no, they don't have a file extension, period. However, renaming them .smc makes them work on TYL. Thanks For my next question, do you know what an .srm file is? I got 5 of them that I don't know where they came from, all with names that match kup with a .smc file, all very small ( 8k or < )

.srm is SRAM backup data.
darkarchon, try telling Windows Explorer to show all file extensions, might help here.
