I think that Snes9xTYL is due for an update that would work with the new 3.71M33 Homebrew E-Boot since it seems like DA isn't going to make a 1.50 plugin for the fat afterall, even though he said that he would "I think that he has sold us out on that one"
Anyone else agree that we need a new port for the new 3xx Custom Firmware Protocol Kernel's so that we can upgrade to the latest CF without worrying about our favorite emulators not working?
This would also benefit those who have payed double for a Slim model too, since they can only run the latest Kernels even for Homebrew on Custom Firmware.

.. the 1.5 plugin was just released lol and the 3xx kernel doesn't have ME access so it won't be fast without 1.5. Also, the slim will never be able to run 1.5 kernel parts so there tyl will probably never be ME-fast.. 1.5 plugin for phat psp: forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=81864

this version is not full speed... i'm really sorry manias, but i cant let you say : you dont have me access for the psp slim and lights, so you will never be able to play snes on full speed.... look at what has been done for the neo geo emuls : mvspsp 2.0 : works with psp s&l in neraly full speed mvspsp 2.2.1 : optimized (you play with 64 megs ram of the psp s&l), always in full speed mode... nj-emu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/it is perhaps impossible to use the ME optimisations with the psp slim (kernel 1.5), but it is not impossible to play full speed on snes games on a psp... now the programmers do what they want if they dont want to make a real snes emulator on psp s&l, its their rights... bye

erwan, sorry, but try not to say things like "it is perhaps impossible to use the ME optimisations with the psp slim (kernel 1.5), but it is not impossible to play full speed on snes games on a psp..." when you obviousy doesn't know anything about programming SNES emulators You already know that what makes this emulator slower on the PSP Slim is because we cannot use the ME for sound--great! Because we cannot use the ME in the PSP Slim since we can only do that with the 1.5 kernel, and the Slim CANNOT RUN it. That means you CANNOT USE THE ME IN THE SLIM. And that means that THE SLIM WILL HAVE TO RUN THE NON-ME VERSION, WHICH IS SLOWER. And you (or anyone) cannot do anything to solve that. OK, that settled? Good. Now, so what if mvspsp was updated and optimized and runs fullspeed in the Slim? Good for those that like the MVS. I can say for SURE that it doesn't do anything that makes it run faster in the Slim (probably runs in the same speed as in the phat). It doesn't mean that because someone updated an emulator to run faster in ALL PSP's, that this emulator has a problem and "is due for a 3xx homebrew protocl kernel update" (whatever you meant there). That makes absolutely no sense, sorry. Besides your logic being flawed, there's NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO TO MAKE THE ME VERSION RUN IN THE SLIM. Accept it. Sorry for the harsh words, but people should understand that and stop asking for the same thing 10 times.

Well, Tinnus and Manias have hit most of the key points concerning the problems with porting the Media Engine version onto the psp, however there is still hope as Chilly Willy has found a way to access it on the 3.xx kernels, also dax claims to have patched several of the major factors that prevent the slim from running several 1.50 subsets (as he claimed in the maxconsole forums and as is evident in his new Back from the Grave unbricker v3 in which he patched screen display which uses a 1.50 kernel subset)

tinnus : i already knew everything you said, it's good you repeat it for the others... i was saying (and i cant prove it !!! of course i'm not a developer) that snes9x could be optimised without ME... varnil : "snes9x wars : a new hope ??" have you got a link please ? bounce bounce bounce

well now that the media engine is accessible wouldn't NOW be an excellent opportunity to rebuild everything from scratch and write out all new modules like you guys always wanted?
I mean... you COULD do it I think... I just think that you are all wary of the bullnuts that accompanies releasing a major app like that..
but whatever.. it's easier to do nothing.. and let someone like ahman or ZX-81 do it, and get all the thanks and most of the credit.
not that they arent great guys.. I love Ahman and ZX-81

Of course, no one will do something if they don't want, and anyone can do it if they do. That's how Free/Open Source Software works.
